Westminster
Westminster is located equidistant from Denver and Boulder on the Highway 36 corridor. This unique location allows for those wanting proximity to metro areas and access to the foothills and mountain activities, along with scenic views of the Rocky Mountains.
As many Front Range communities have, Westminster has taken great steps in maintaining and preserving the natural lands for everyone to enjoy. The city owns and maintains over 300 acres of open space, developed the Stanley Lake Regional Park, and provides a multitude of parks throughout the city. Downtown Westminster intersects directly with the new U.S. 36 Bikeway linking the largest trail system in the Front Range with over 145 miles!!!
Another popular attraction is the “Big Red Castle” or the “Pillar Fire” first being built in the late 1800’s with dreams of becoming the “Princeton of the West”, this however was never completed. It now stands as a historic landmark, and a recognizable feature of Westminster.
