In October, children and parents can attend Trick or Treat Street around Halloween where youngsters can trick-or-treat from local vendors. In late October or early November come down and experience the Chili Cook Off held in downtown Golden and also at the Golden City Brewery. Proceeds go to help various charities.
Into the second week of December bring a candle and join Golden’s candle light walk celebration. Walk from the south part of Washington down to the Visitor’s Center where Christmas caroling and holiday dances are performed on stage by children and adults. Then the count- down begins before the lighting of the trees in Golden along the main streets and also along the Clear Creek path.
